GreenDrop Logistics (“GreenDrop”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use our delivery app, how we use it, and the rights you have over it.
1. Data we collect
We collect only the data we need to operate the service:
- Account data — email address, name, phone number, user role (customer or driver), language preference.
- Location data — approximate device location to find pickup and drop-off addresses, match drivers, and provide live tracking. Drivers also share precise location while on an active delivery.
- Payment data — card and Apple Pay payment details are collected directly by Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number on our servers.
- Delivery data — addresses, package type, delivery times, ratings, and order history.
- Device data — basic device identifiers, app version, push-notification tokens, and crash logs to help us diagnose problems.
2. How we use your data
- To create your account, sign you in, and keep you signed in.
- To match customers with drivers, calculate fair pricing, and deliver packages.
- To process payments and pay drivers their share.
- To send service notifications (for example, “your driver is nearby”) and important account emails.
- To prevent fraud, abuse, and unsafe driving behaviour.
- To improve the app — aggregated, non-identifying analytics only.
3. Third-party services we use
We rely on a small number of trusted processors. Each is contractually bound to handle your data only on our instructions and to protect it appropriately.
- Supabase — our authentication and database provider. Your account, order history, and ratings are stored on Supabase infrastructure.
- Stripe — processes all card and Apple Pay payments. Stripe is a PCI-DSS-certified payment processor.
- Apple / Google — push notifications and (on iOS) Apple Pay.
- Google Maps — address autocomplete, route display, and live tracking maps.
4. Data retention
We keep account and order data for as long as your account is active and for up to 24 months after you close it, to support refunds, tax obligations, and any outstanding driver payouts. Aggregated, anonymized data may be kept longer.
5. Your rights
Under the GDPR (EU) and similar laws elsewhere, you have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. Email us from the address linked to your account and we will respond within 30 days.
6. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest on Supabase and Stripe. Access to production systems is restricted to a small number of authorized people and audited.
7. Children
GreenDrop is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced in the app and by email at least 14 days before they take effect.
